Chenille Fabric

Chenille Fabric is a raised, soft, feathery material that also has the title “poor man’s velvet”. It can be made from different fibers such as cotton, silk, wool, viscose or a blend of various materials, both natural and synthetic.

Advantages of chenille fabric:

  • Fuzzy and soft;
  • Has a beautiful soft drape;
  • Fabric is extremely durable;
  • Shiny and iridescent.

Disadvantages of chenille fabric:

  • Tends to shrink and stretch.

Chenille is ideal for making household items such as towels, bathrobes and baby items.
