Duck Fabric is an extremely durable cotton canvas material. Also called Duck Cloth, Duck Canvas and Cotton Duck, although there is also a Linen Duck, it is used less frequently.
Advantages of duck fabric:
- Strength and wear resistance;
- Wind and water resistance;
- Resists snagging and tearing.
Disadvantages of duck fabric:
- Not suitable for draping.
Duck fabric has a wide range of uses, from outdoor items to clothing. A denser fabric is used to make bags, hammocks, covers, canopies, tents, etc. The lighter fabric is suitable for work clothes, curtains, garden furniture and artist canvases.
