Fleece Fabric is a synthetic material with a brushed surface that resembles sheep’s wool. Commonly, it is made only from synthetic fibers (such as polyester), although it can also be made with the addition of cotton, hemp, rayon or wool fibers.
Advantages of fleece fabric:
- Very warm and cozy;
- Resists water;
- Resists wrinkles;
- Reasonably breathable material.
Disadvantages of fleece fabric:
- Can build up static electricity.
Fleece is used to make winter jackets, coats, sportswear, hats, scarves, gloves, ear-warmers. And besides clothing, it is used to make blankets, pillows, toys, and even underwear for astronauts.
